Description
An authentic expression of pure Sangiovese, this Chianti Classico comes from the hillside vineyards of Santo Stefano a Collegalle, on galestro soils rich in Tuscan flint and clay, which lend it elegance and character. The grapes, harvested manually in October, are carefully vinified and aged in concrete, steel and large oak barrels to maintain the varietal freshness intact without sacrificing complexity.
To the eye, it is bright ruby red, clear and inviting. The nose offers a refined and lively bouquet: crisp red cherry, rose petals, balsamic notes of wild mint and delicate spicy hints of clove.
The sip is dry and fresh, with fine, smooth tannins meeting lively acidity to ensure balance and pleasant drinking. A wine that evolves gracefully over time, enriching itself with nuances, but which already surprises with its versatility when young.
Perfect with the most authentic Tuscan cuisine-from Florentine steak to tomato dishes, from legume soups to tripe-it also proves surprising with oily fish, thanks to its freshness and crisp finish. To be served at 16-18°C, to best express its elegant and convivial soul.
